PDPA Notice

This notice is issued under the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (“PDPA”) of Malaysia. It tells you how The Mind Psychological Services and Training processes your personal data on this platform. The Bahasa Malaysia version of this notice is available on request and shall prevail in the event of any inconsistency.

Personal data we process

Your username and email; any profile details you add (photo, phone number, date of birth, bio); and the information you enter while using the platform (task entries, quiz answers, messages, comments). Patients are not asked for their real name.

Purpose

To deliver care-support services between sessions, to administer and secure your account, to communicate with you about your account, and to meet our legal and regulatory obligations.

Disclosure

Your data may be disclosed to your assigned therapist(s) and our administrators, and to service providers who help us run the platform (e.g. hosting), under appropriate confidentiality obligations. We may also disclose data where required by law.

Your rights

Under the PDPA you may, subject to the Act: request access to your personal data; request correction of inaccurate data; withdraw consent to processing (note this may mean we can no longer provide the service); and limit processing for direct marketing (we do not use your data for marketing). To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below.

Retention

We keep your personal data for as long as your account is active and as long as needed for the purposes above or to comply with legal obligations, after which it is deleted or anonymised.

By ticking the consent box when you register, you confirm you have read and understood this notice and consent to the processing of your personal data as described.
